Pharmacy First Service 

On the 31st January 2024, a new FREE service will be available across our pharmacies in the Midlands. The service will allow our pharmacists to provide consultations to give advice and NHS-funded treatment (where clinically appropriate) for each of the following services:

• Sinusitus (12 years +)
• Sore Throat (5 years +)
• Acute Otitis Media (Infection of the middle ear) (1 -17 years)
• Infected Insect Bites (1 year +)
• Impetigo (1 year +)
• Shingles (18 years +)
• Uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) in women (16 - 64 years)

Consultations for these seven clinical pathways can be provided to patients presenting to the pharmacy as well as those referred by NHS 111, general practices and others.
